Two-player VR motion simulator from Raw Thrills featuring hand-tracking gameplay through three Skull Island episodes. Fully automated operation, 40 square foot footprint.
King Kong of Skull Island is a two-player VR motion simulator from Raw Thrills. Players ride through three episodes set on Skull Island, using hand tracking to interact with dinosaurs, prehistoric bugs, and other creatures while the motion platform syncs with the action on screen.
The cabinet uses HP Reverb headsets and runs on dual HP workstations. Raw Thrills designed the experience around hand tracking as a core mechanic — players swat at bugs, dodge plants, and interact with the environment as a jeep careens through the island. The motion system is Raw Thrills’ AirRide platform with AirForce air jets for environmental effects.
The experience runs fully automated with no attendant required. The cabinet includes protective face masks and wipe dispensers. Showcase monitors are available in 55-inch and 43-inch configurations for spectator display.
Raw Thrills built this on the back of their Jurassic Park arcade success. The company’s strength in arcade gameplay design shows in the interactivity — this is one of the more hands-on products in the VR motion simulator category. The King Kong IP drives the narrative, but the experience leans heavily on dinosaurs and prehistoric creatures throughout.
