Review from Bob Cooney's 2022/2023 VR Arcade Game Buyer's Guide:

trueVRsystems

trueVRsystems is a Swiss company that’s been building free-roam VR systems since at least 2017. They have 15 locations in Europe, and four in the Americas. Their flagship in the US is at Area 15 Immersive Mall in Las Vegas.

trueVRsystems offers two arena sizes, 1000 or 2000 square feet. They use hand and foot tracking, requiring optical camera systems, which drives the price of a small arena to $150,000 and a larger one double that. They currently offer five games, with a sixth coming.

Description

trueVRsystems is a Swiss full-body VR platform company that’s been building free-roam systems since 2017. They run 15 locations in Europe and four in the Americas, including their US flagship at Area 15 in Las Vegas.

The platform uses PCVR graphics with full-body tracking — head, hands, and feet — captured by optical camera systems mounted in the arena. Players see their actual movements reflected in-game, which matters for co-op puzzle mechanics and spatial coordination between teammates.

The system includes 4D environmental effects: wind fans, heat elements, and physical props that are fully tracked and game-specific. A torch in your hand in the real space shows up as a torch in the game. Same for planks, headstones, and other interactive objects that vary by title.

trueVRsystems develops three or more exclusive titles per year that only run on their platform. Current catalog includes eight games spanning adventure, co-op PvE, fantasy, puzzle, shooter PvP, and zombie genres. Session length is 20 minutes.

Two standard arena configurations. The 10x10m setup runs up to 5 players and fits shopping mall footprints. The 11x20m arena supports up to 10 players in certain titles or runs two small-arena games in parallel.

The operator dashboard tracks session data, player counts, and game performance. The UI is built for staff training speed — new hires can run sessions without extended onboarding.

Compatible headsets include PICO 4, Quest, and VIVE Focus. Pricing starts at approximately $150,000 for the small arena system, $300,000 for the large arena, reflecting the optical tracking camera infrastructure and custom prop fabrication.

trueVRsystems sells direct as a hardware-software package. Operators get the physical arena buildout, tracking system, custom props, and access to the proprietary game library.
