Description

Anvio is a free-roam VR platform company that builds wireless, multiplayer experiences for location-based venues. The platform runs standalone VR headsets (PICO 4, Quest, VIVE Focus) in zones ranging from 5×5 meters to 20×10 meters, with custom zones up to 400 square meters. Anvio supports up to 12 players per session.

The platform includes eight experiences: City Z (zombie shooter), Station Zarya (sci-fi co-op), Revolta (PvP), three escape-room puzzle games, a horror experience, and a fantasy adventure. All run on Anvio’s launcher software, which handles session management, booking, statistics, and player accounts.

Anvio operates its own flagship location in Hollywood and licenses the platform to other operators. The company charges no upfront franchise fee. Operators run the Anvio launcher to access the full content library. Sessions are wireless — players wear standalone headsets with optional bHaptics vests for tactile feedback.

The platform’s fixed zone sizes (5×5, 10×10, 10×20) make it compatible with most FEC and arcade footprints. The content library targets families, teens, and adult gamers. The launcher tracks per-session and aggregate metrics for operators.

Anvio launched in 2016 and opened four U.S. locations by the end of 2022, including the Hollywood flagship next to the TCL Chinese Theater.
