First Contact is a free-roam VR experience on Ready Team One where teams in Avatar Combat Suits restore planetary shields on Ikeda 7 through co-operative combat and puzzle-solving.
First Contact is a free-roam VR experience set in 2130 on the colony planet Ikeda 7. Players wear Avatar Combat Suits and work in teams to respond to a planetary defense emergency after the planet’s shield system deactivates. The experience combines combat scenarios with puzzle-solving objectives as teams attempt to restore the shields and neutralize threats.
The experience runs on PCVR graphics and is available on Ready Team One. Players navigate through multiple environments on Ikeda 7, from urban areas to underground facilities, while solving puzzles integrated into the mission structure. Combat encounters require team coordination, with different enemy types presenting varying tactical challenges.
First Contact requires a 20×10 play space and supports co-operative PVE gameplay. The mission culminates in a final combat scenario that incorporates skills developed throughout the experience. The experience is distributed as software only.
