LA Deadzone Free-Roam is a cooperative survival experience set in the aftermath of a viral outbreak in Los Angeles. Players physically walk through a fallen cityscape overrun by zombies, working together to reach a resistance group broadcasting from an undisclosed location. The experience supports up to four players simultaneously in the same physical space.
The title runs on PCVR and requires a backpack PC or wireless adapter. Play areas of 15×15 feet (4.6×4.6 meters), 20×20 feet (6.1×6.1 meters), or 20×30 feet (6.1×9.1 meters) are supported. A built-in chaperone system tracks boundaries. The experience is available on the SynthesisVR platform, which provides turnkey operation.
Setup involves entering an identifier code to connect multiple headsets. Players navigate without artificial locomotion — movement in the physical space corresponds directly to progress through the story. The suggested age minimum is 16 years. An internet connection is required for operation.
