SynthesisVR

SynthesisVR is a robust software solution with a comprehensive suite of features and applications that provides virtual reality (VR) entertainment locations complete control of their day-to-day business operations, and the ability to commercially license the latest VR games, educational and enterprise content.

Synthesis has built a solid reputation with VR arcade owners running room-scale systems, as the company that offers the most flexibility and customization of their platform. If Springboard were Apple, easy to use and not very flexible, Springboard is Android, appealing to the more technically savvy operator crowd. Their launcher has a full analytics backend and is feature rich.

Synthesis has been hard at work building a free roam catalog of indie PCVR titles that is currently unrivaled by any other launcher. With 18 games from a host of indie studios, including some of the early games from The Park Playground, they offer something for everyone. They also offer some native games, but their strength is in their PCVR content.

Synthesis just launched a new licensing program called Essential Access. In addition to eliminating their monthly subscription fee, it let’s operators customize the feature set for ultimate control over their licensing fees.

Description

SynthesisVR is a content management platform built for VR arcade and family entertainment center operators running room-scale and free-roam systems. The platform handles session scheduling, headset management, payment processing, and content licensing for both PCVR and standalone headsets.

The company launched in 2017 and has built a catalog of licensed PCVR titles from independent studios. The platform supports PICO 4, Quest, and VIVE Focus headsets and works with experiences ranging from 4x4m to 15x20m play spaces.

SynthesisVR offers two licensing models. The Essential Access tier has no monthly subscription fee — operators pay only for content licenses and optional feature modules. The modular structure lets operators add booking systems, analytics dashboards, and content packages as needed rather than subscribing to a full suite upfront.

The platform’s backend provides session analytics, revenue tracking per station, and remote headset monitoring. Operators running multiple locations can manage content deployment and licensing across sites from a single dashboard.

SynthesisVR’s catalog includes 22 licensed experiences spanning escape room, shooter, puzzle, and horror genres. The platform also supports enterprise and educational content licensing for operators serving corporate training or institutional clients.

The Essential Access model is designed for operators who want to control monthly overhead by selecting only the platform features their operation requires. Additional modules and content licenses can be added or removed as the business scales.
