Hive Awakening is a futuristic co-operative shooter experience for up to eight players, released on May 14, 2024. Players aged 12 and up take on the role of an elite team responding to a crisis at Corigis-B12, a remote mining facility near a warp gate. The gate has become a portal for the Hive, a race of hostile creatures now entering our universe, and the mission is to halt the invasion.
The experience runs on PCVR and is available on the SynthesisVR platform (turnkey). It requires a free-roam space measuring 16.0 x 12.0 meters (52.5 x 39.4 feet) and supports up to eight players in player-versus-environment (PvE) co-operative mode. Hive Awakening includes full StrikerVR haptic rifle support and operates in offline multiplayer configuration.
The game presents a science fiction combat scenario requiring teamwork and coordination across the play space. Players engage waves of creatures in a structured defense mission.
