Single-player VR arcade cabinet. Pirate-themed shooter with 5–10 minute sessions. DPVR headset, turnkey hardware, designed for high-turnover arcade and FEC environments.
Sailor’s Quest 2 is a single-player VR arcade cabinet from UNIS. Players shoot targets and hunt treasure in a pirate-themed world. Sessions run 5–10 minutes. The cabinet uses a DPVR headset mounted in a fixed station — players stand or sit at the unit, not in free-roam space.
This is a coin-op product for arcades and family entertainment centers. It’s designed for quick turnover: onboard a player, run the session, move to the next guest. The pirate theme and shooting mechanics appeal to kids and casual players.
The cabinet’s visual design has been updated from the original Sailor’s Quest. UNIS ships the unit as a turnkey package — cabinet, headset, and software integrated. Operators plug it in and start taking plays.
DPVR headsets in this configuration are tethered to the cabinet. The experience is on-rails: players aim and shoot, but movement through the game world is automated. This keeps session length predictable and reduces the risk of motion sickness in younger or first-time VR users.
Spectators can watch gameplay on an external monitor. This matters in arcade environments where watching someone play can drive interest from other guests.
The product launched in 2024. UNIS handles support in the US.
