Miners Landing has run Sasquatch Mountain on Seattle’s Pier 57 since 3 April 2026. The ride sends guests on a Bigfoot hunt in VR headsets on motion seats. Adult tickets cost $25, youth tickets $20 and senior tickets $22 on the Miners Landing ticket store.

InPark Magazine reported that the VR format was chosen so the ride could be “realized in a very small, then-unused area” of the pier, a historical landmark. Super 78 developed the ride.

How the mixed reality ride works

In the story, guests volunteer for a search mission and ride custom self-driving vehicles through the Pacific Northwest. According to InPark, the route runs down a log flume and into a lost mine on a roller coaster-style rail car. Guests also fly tethered to a helicopter.

The ride’s website bills the attraction as “AR/VR technology” blended with physical feedback, including haptics, wind and forest scents. Guests wear headsets from VR Coaster and sit on motion-base seats from Kraftwerk Living Technologies. The film combines computer-generated and live-action footage, InPark reported.

The website says the ride “simulates high-speed aerobatics, sudden stops, and vertical drops.”

The Miners Landing team created the themed entrance, with scenic by Daniels Wood Land and an animatronic Sasquatch by Garner Holt Productions. Yessian Music composed the orchestral soundtrack.

Price, height limit and the Pier Pass

Riders must be at least 42 inches (107 cm) tall because of the safety harness, according to the ride’s website. Sasquatch Mountain is open daily from 11:00 to 21:00, with its entrance on the north side of Pier 57.

The ride is one of five attractions in the Miners Landing Pier Pass. The others are the Seattle Great Wheel, the Wings Over Washington flying theater, the Salish Sea boat tour and the carousel.

A second Super 78 attraction for Miners Landing

“This is our second time creating an attraction with Kyle Griffith at Miner’s Landing,” said Brent Young, president and creative director of Super 78. The first was Wings Over Washington, which Super 78 developed with Miners Landing.

Kyle Griffith, a co-owner of Miners Landing, said the ride is part of developing the venue “into a celebration of Pacific Northwest history, culture and mythology.”

“And everyone loves Bigfoot; it’s the ideal intellectual property for our region,” he said.

What this means for attraction operators and ride suppliers

For operators with small footprints, Miners Landing put a $25 dark ride into a previously unused area of Pier 57. For suppliers, the ride combines VR Coaster headsets and Kraftwerk Living Technologies motion seats with a Garner Holt Productions animatronic.
