South Florida PBS opened Becoming Jane: The Evolution of Dr. Jane Goodall at its Boynton Beach studios on 23 October 2026, its sixth ticketed immersive title since November 2024. It runs beside The Moonwalkers: A Journey with Tom Hanks, so the public broadcaster now sells two immersive shows at once at the Cornelia T. Bailey Cultural Arts Center on its studio campus.
The National Geographic Society tours Becoming Jane with the Jane Goodall Institute USA, blooloop reported. Visitors walk through projected scenes of Gombe Stream National Park in Tanzania and meet a life-size hologram of Goodall telling stories from her research. An augmented reality activity asks guests to match a chimpanzee’s pant-hoot call. The show has won an American Alliance of Museums Excellence in Exhibition Award and a Thea Award.
It runs until 24 January 2027. A visit takes 60 minutes, and adult tickets cost $45 on the Fever listing, with $22 for children under 12. Fever also sells a package that combines Becoming Jane with The Moonwalkers.
The Moonwalkers, created by the London immersive production company Lightroom and brought to Boynton Beach with Paquin Entertainment Group, opened on 24 September and runs until 30 March 2027. Tom Hanks co-wrote and narrates its 55-minute film, which plays in a 360-degree dome. Guests then spend about 40 minutes with a holographic astronaut and a life-size replica of the Eagle lunar module.
Sessions start every 90 minutes, Tuesday to Sunday, and adult tickets cost $45, the same as Becoming Jane.
“As an organization dedicated to education, innovation, and lifelong learning, we are excited to offer audiences an inspiring journey that celebrates one of humanity’s greatest achievements,” said Dolores Fernandez Alonso, president and CEO of South Florida PBS, when the station announced the show.
Da Vinci: Genius, from Phoenix Immersive of London, opened the run in November 2024 and drew more than 40,000 visitors, 4,200 of them students, before it closed in April 2025, South Florida PBS said. Culturespaces’ Egyptian Pharaohs: From Cheops to Ramses II came second, in October 2025. Two free-roam VR titles, Napoleon: The Immersive Saga and Colosseum: The Legendary Arena, ran from 22 May to 30 September 2026, and The Moonwalkers and Becoming Jane are the fifth and sixth.
The station adds classroom material and free field trips for Title I schools, which serve low-income students.
For venue owners, South Florida PBS booked all six titles from outside producers, and two now run at once. For museum operators, the station sells every show with classroom material, and its one published attendance figure counts 4,200 students among Da Vinci’s more than 40,000 visitors.
