Disney and Lightstorm License a Touring Avatar Immersive Walkthrough Experience for Niagara Falls

Preliminary concept rendering of the acrobatic finale of AVATAR: Guardians of Eywa, an immersive walkthrough experience: performers on a rainforest stage before a silhouetted audience. Rendering via Niagara Parks press materials.

Disney Theatrical Group and Lightstorm Entertainment have licensed AVATAR: Guardians of Eywa, an immersive walkthrough experience that opens at Niagara Falls, Ontario, on 17 May 2027.

Niagara Parks will host it at a performance site at Table Rock Centre, with shows through early September 2027. The production then moves on to other venues.

Fever is the Niagara production’s official ticketing provider. Waitlist members can buy tickets 24 hours before general sale.

Inside the Avatar immersive walkthrough experience

Guests explore two Pandoran settings, a rainforest and a coastal reef, at their own pace. Niagara Parks describes “state-of-the-art interactive installations” built around Pandora’s plants and animals.

The walk ends in a live acrobatic show about the Na’vi cycle of life, staged with choreography and “rich cinematics.” Fever lists the experience at 60 minutes.

Moment Factory, the Montreal studio behind the Lumina Night Walk series, led the design and creative production. Niagara Parks calls it the first experience of its kind to combine “large-scale multimedia environments with live acrobatics in one continuous journey.”

The Magic Walk walkthrough format

The show runs on Magic Walk, a format owned by IMMEX and produced by EMM Williams Productions. EMM, founded in Montreal in 2003, produces live shows and international touring productions.

The format combines multimedia, environmental storytelling, robotics and live performance. It is designed for deployment across a wide range of venues. The Government of Canada’s Creative Export Canada program helped fund the Avatar production, alongside private investment.

Tony Haswani, president of EMM Williams Productions, called the Niagara premiere “the beginning of an exciting global journey for Magic Walk.”

The Avatar walkthrough joins Disney Theatrical Group’s other immersive titles, including Mundo Pixar Experience and Secret Cinema’s Pirates of the Caribbean.

Asset World Corp signs the Avatar walkthrough for Bangkok

Asset World Corp signed with EMM Williams Productions in July. The deal brings Avatar: Guardians of Eywa to Asiatique The Riverfront in Bangkok in 2027.

The Blue Dome is a structure Shigeru Ban designed for Expo 2025 Osaka. Asset World Corp puts the Bangkok production inside it at more than 4,000 square metres.

Cameron, Meta Connect and Cooney on the format

James Cameron, who created the Avatar films, sat in the front row at Meta Connect in 2026.

“It’s a massive IP. James Cameron is a huge fan of virtual reality technology. … And it’s clearly going to use some sort of projection immersive XR tech,” said Bob Cooney, a VR consultant and executive director of LEXRA, the trade association for location-based XR, who began his career operating immersive location-based entertainment in 1989. Cooney publishes The VR Collective.

What this means for operators and venue owners

The production has two sites so far: a Niagara Parks season at Table Rock Centre and the Blue Dome at Asiatique The Riverfront in Bangkok. Niagara Parks provides the site at Table Rock Centre, and Asset World Corp the Blue Dome. EMM Williams Productions brings the licensed show to both.
