Description

Battery Powered VR Bumpers is a multiplayer bumper car attraction that combines physical bumper car play with VR gameplay. Manufactured by Eurogames and developed with SPREE Interactive, the system runs CYBERBLASTER, a 3-minute shooter experience set in a futuristic environment.

Players sit in battery-powered bumper cars fitted with VR headsets. The game places players in a virtual environment where they navigate and shoot targets while physically bumping other players. The experience supports 4 to 20 players depending on the venue footprint, which ranges from 330 to 1,000 square feet.

The system includes a spectator screen so non-players can watch the action. Total session length is approximately 5 minutes including boarding and headset fitting. Eurogames manufactures the bumper car hardware. SPREE Interactive provides the VR content and integration. The product launched in 2022.

An attendant is required to operate the attraction, manage player flow, and assist with headset fitting. Support in the United States is provided through a distribution agent.

Review from Bob Cooney's 2022/2023 VR Arcade Game Buyer's Guide:

VR Bumper Cars

Eurogames is the leading manufacturer of battery-powered bumper cars in Europe. I.E. Park holds the same position in electric floor pickup bumper cars. Both companies are partnered with Spree Interactive to develop VR bumper cars, under license from VR Coaster. This is an emerging market segment and I expect as the technology and gameplay get figured out and throughput increases, they will see great products emerge.
