Description

Alpha Ops VR Strike is a two-player motion-platform VR shooter from Sega Amusements. Guests sit in motion-enabled seats, put on a VR headset, and use a handheld gun controller to fight through three environments: Ice Blizzard, Desert Gorge, and a Final Boss Battle. Built in Unreal Engine 5. Coin-operated cabinet designed to run unattended.

The cabinet includes dual 65-inch 4K displays flanking the seat (for spectator viewing), 4.1 surround sound, and what Sega calls a “VR Aiming Controller” — a lightweight single-hand gun with an action button. The motion platform syncs with gameplay to add physical feedback. Sessions run continuously without staff intervention once set up.

This is a simulator cabinet, not free-roam. Guests stay seated. The VR headset is a modified version of Sega’s VR Agent hardware. Languages supported: English, Spanish, French, Italian, German, Turkish, Portuguese.

As of late 2024, Alpha Ops VR Strike was in location testing at Dave & Buster’s (Schaumburg, IL) and Gravity Max (London). Sega exhibited it at IAAPA 2024. Operators interested in placing units should contact Sega Amusements directly for availability, pricing, and installation requirements.

The assembled unit measures 252 cm deep × 187 cm wide × 280 cm tall and weighs 790 kg. Ships in four crates: two monitor assemblies, one seat assembly, and one light box. Container capacity: 3 units per 20-foot, 6 units per 40-foot.
