Depths of Osiris is a location-based VR escape room experience set aboard the deep-sea platform Oceanus 5. Teams of 2 to 5 players work to locate and retrieve an artifact from the Temple of Osiris before oxygen supplies run out. The experience runs 45 minutes and is available on the vrCAVE VR Escape Rooms platform.
Players navigate underwater environments, decipher hieroglyphs, and avoid circling sharks while managing a countdown timer. The experience requires coordination and communication as teams solve puzzles tied to the temple’s chambers. A Hard Mode variant increases puzzle difficulty, predator behavior, and time pressure.
The underwater setting includes seaweed, bioluminescent creatures, and atmospheric audio. The experience was updated in 2023 and supports HTC VIVE, VIVE Pro/Pro 2, HTC VIVE Focus 3, Valve Index, and Meta Quest/Quest 2 headsets.
