2-seat VR helicopter simulator with 6-DOF motion platform and filmed aerial content. 4m x 5.7m footprint. Built by Amega Entertainment for family entertainment centers and arcades.
The Mini HeliRide is a 2-seat VR helicopter simulator built by Amega Entertainment. Riders wear VR headsets and sit in a motion platform that tilts and moves through 6 degrees of freedom while they watch aerial footage of real locations. The motion syncs to what they see — banking through turns, pitching forward on descents. Sessions run through different flight paths: coastal routes, mountain passes, city flyovers.
The unit runs on a 6-DOF motion platform. It draws 3kW during normal operation and peaks at 6kW during high-motion sequences. The footprint is 4m x 5.7m. Riders face outward toward a triple-monitor spectator display — three 42-inch 4K screens showing what the riders see inside the headsets. An attendant is required to load riders, start sessions, and manage the queue.
Amega supplies the content library. Operators can request custom flight routes if they want location-specific experiences — a venue near the Grand Canyon could run a canyon flight, a coastal arcade could feature a shoreline tour. The content is filmed aerials, not CGI. Each flight runs 5–7 minutes depending on the route.
The Mini HeliRide suits family entertainment centers, arcades, theme parks, and museums with space for a small-footprint motion ride. It’s a seated attraction, not a free-roam or active experience. Riders don’t control the helicopter — they’re passengers on a scripted flight. The appeal is the motion-synced aerial view and the novelty of helicopter perspective without the cost or logistics of an actual flight.
