Pixel Floor is an attendant-free interactive LED tile floor from Pixel Games GmbH. Players move across capacitive touch tiles through a library of more than ten games, on a modular floor starting at 4m x 5m, with a touchscreen kiosk, RFID credits and third-party card system integration.
Pixel Floor is an interactive LED tile floor attraction made by Pixel Games GmbH. Players move across illuminated tiles that react to their steps, working through games built around color, pattern and speed. The tiles use capacitive touch rather than mechanical switches, and each tile carries RGB LED lighting and a non-slip surface. The system is designed and manufactured in Magdeburg, Germany, and Pixel Games states a worldwide patent is pending.
The floor is modular and the play area is configured to the venue. Installations start at 4m x 5m and can be built larger, square or rectangular, and the floor can be relocated. Pixel Games states that up to six players can use a 20 sq m floor at once, so player numbers vary with the configuration ordered. The system is rated for ages three and up. On a 5m x 5m floor, Pixel Games states a standard 10 amp supply powers the whole system. A data connection is needed for support and updates, and the floor continues to operate for a period without one.
Pixel Floor runs attendant-free. Guests choose and start games at a touchscreen kiosk, and operators set game options, access and pricing through the Pixel Games software, with a separate dashboard and analytics view. The system integrates with third-party card systems including Intercard, Nayax, Embed, Semnox and Amusement Connect, and carries its own RFID card and wristband credit system at no additional cost. An API connects booking systems and point-of-sale hardware. A free-to-play mode can be enabled so guests start a game without payment.
The library holds more than ten games, among them Pixel, Pixel VS, Switch, Switch VS, Switch Extreme, Memory, High Score Hunt, Color Battle, Labyrinth and Sprint VS. Pixel Games adds new games and game modes at least twice a year. A separately licensed Atari game pack adds Pong, Missile Command and Dominos played with body movement in place of a controller. A membership and achievement system for players was introduced in early 2026.
A supplied order covers the LED tiles with their controllers and power supply, a main PC and a database PC, the touchscreen kiosk, two dual-RFID readers, a spare part kit, the Support and Update Program and a three year warranty. An optional turnkey enclosure adds a steel structure, a 58-inch screen, two 100W speakers, customizable side, front and back covers, polycarbonate inserts and a mesh ceiling built to clear sprinklers and smoke detectors.
Pixel Games sells to family entertainment centers, trampoline and indoor play parks, bowling centers, arcades, shopping malls and other leisure venues, and lists more than 375 installations across 45 or more countries.
