Two-player VR motorcycle racing simulator from UNIS Technology. Players sit side-by-side on motorcycle seats wearing HP Reverb G2 headsets and race head-to-head. Updated version of the original Ultra Moto GP with more reliable VR hardware.
The Ultra Moto VR Twin is a two-player VR motorcycle racing simulator from UNIS Technology. Two riders sit side-by-side on motorcycle seats, each wearing an HP Reverb G2 headset, and race head-to-head through virtual environments. Players lean, steer, and accelerate like they would on a real motorcycle.
This is the updated version of UNIS’s Ultra Moto GP, which originally shipped with DPVR headsets that had reliability problems. The newer HP Reverb G2 headsets have proven more reliable in the field. The original version also included a fallback video monitor so players could race without the headset if they felt uncomfortable or if the VR hardware failed. It’s unclear whether the Twin model retains that fallback option.
Motorcycle games work well in VR because the seated position and handlebar controls map naturally to the riding experience. Players can look over their shoulder to check on competitors, just like real racing. The side-by-side seating makes it easy for spectators to watch both players at once, which helps attract attention on a busy arcade floor.
The footprint is W105″ × D85″ × H93″ (roughly 9 feet wide by 7 feet deep by 8 feet tall). That’s compact for a two-player simulator, but you’ll want to account for clearance around the machine for players getting on and off.
This is a seated, stationary simulator. It doesn’t have motion platform hardware. The immersion comes from the VR headset and the physical motorcycle controls, not from mechanical movement.
