Toei Animation staged ONE PIECE Fest at Cosm Los Angeles in Inglewood, California on 25 and 26 August 2026. The studio billed the two-day event as its largest ONE PIECE location-based entertainment experience outside Japan. Toei Animation reported nearly 500,000 ticket-lottery entries after the April announcement. The event sold out. Cosm’s Detroit venue opens on 10 September with 19 of its first 21 days programmed.
“The Elbaph Experience,” Toei’s dome content, ran on Cosm’s LED dome, an 87-foot-diameter display covering 5,000 square feet. Forbes reported that the show opened on a montage of every ONE PIECE episode. The show then put the audience on the Going Merry and into the anime’s Elbaph arc.
Around the dome, Toei used 95,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor space. The build recreated all 19 major anime arcs, from East Blue to Elbaph, as separate environments. Visitors got maps and chose their own order.
Interactive attractions included the GEAR5 and Sabaody Lounge, Usopp’s Target Range, the Davy Back Fight Punching Machine, Shanks’ Straw Hat Donning experience and Zoro’s Three Sword Style activation. The two days also included live panels, a performance by “We Are!” singer Hiroshi Kitadani, and the ONE PIECE Bazaar.
Toei announced the event on 30 April 2026 and opened registration the same day. The lottery closed on 14 May and Toei notified selected fans on 21 May, according to its press release. Tickets were sold only in pairs at $109 a pair, capped at a maximum of 7,000 tickets over the two days, with two sessions a day and 1,750 tickets a session. Forbes put each session at about four hours long.
The nearly 500,000 figure counts lottery registrations, and covers one title at one venue across two days and four sessions. Against a 7,000-ticket cap, that is about seventy registrations for every ticket available.
Cosm’s Cleveland venue topped out in August 2026 with Rock Entertainment Group as operator.
Licensed IP has run on Cosm’s screens before. Cosm presented The Matrix with Little Cinema and Warner Bros. in 2025.
Anime IP has run in location-based attractions elsewhere. The VR Collective reported in March 2025 on Spy x Family’s VR coaster at Universal Studios Japan. That coaster ran inside a theme park. ONE PIECE Fest ran in a US LED dome venue.
Operators programming new dome venues have a demand number for anime from a single title. It is close to 500,000 lottery entries against a 7,000-ticket cap, for four sessions across two days in one city, according to Toei Animation. IP holders with anime catalogues have one staged format on the record, 95,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor space around one 87-foot dome.
