Excurio is a content platform and operating system for large-scale free-roam VR. Operators run multiple historical and cultural experiences concurrently in the same physical space — Excurio’s patented simultaneous multi-content feature lets different groups move through different narratives at the same time. The platform includes visitor registration, group formation, automated guidance, and real-time operational monitoring.

Experiences currently available through Excurio include walking the medieval walls of Carcassonne, witnessing the Impressionists’ first exhibition, exploring the Great Pyramid in ancient Egypt, and encountering prehistoric life-forms. Each experience runs approximately 45 minutes. Visitors explore at their own pace within the narrative structure — no fixed pods or turn-based cycles.

The platform is designed for high throughput. Minimum space requirement is 1,000 square meters; maximum capacity in that space is 130 concurrent visitors. Multiple groups flow through continuously, minimizing downtime. The system handles visitor flow, scenario synchronization, and space management without requiring technical expertise from venue staff.

Excurio runs on VIVE Focus standalone headsets. The platform supports multiple languages and adapts to different venue layouts. Operators get real-time operational dashboards and visitor analytics.

This platform suits museums, cultural institutions, science centers, visitor attractions, and theme parks — venues that want historically grounded or artistically rich content for adult and family audiences. The storytelling format supports repeat visitation because visitors discover different narrative threads and environmental details on subsequent runs.
