Horizon of Khufu is a free-roam virtual reality experience set inside the Great Pyramid of Giza. Available on the Excurio platform, it recreates chambers, corridors, and tomb spaces from the pyramid’s construction period more than 4,500 years ago. The experience was developed with input from Egyptology experts and presents the architecture and historical context of Khufu’s reign through spatial narrative elements.
The experience is designed for continuous visitor flow in large-scale deployments. In a 1,000 square meter installation, up to 130 visitors can move through the environment simultaneously over the 45-minute duration. Visitors navigate the pyramid interior at their own pace, encountering narrative sequences that explain construction methods and the site’s historical significance.
