Description

Shark Pool is a multiplayer virtual reality game in which players take on the role of lifeguards tasked with rescuing swimmers from sharks. The objective is to locate distressed swimmers in the water and pull them to safety before the sharks reach them. The game supports 1 to 16 players simultaneously and is designed for participants aged 5 and above.

The game is set on a beach environment where players scan the water to identify swimmers in danger. As players rescue more swimmers, their score increases. The difficulty escalates as the sharks become more aggressive over time, requiring faster reactions and coordinated effort among players. The multiplayer format supports both competitive scoring and cooperative play, with participants able to communicate and strategize together.

Shark Pool runs on standalone VR headsets (PICO 4, Quest) and is available on the BattleStart platform, which provides turnkey deployment for venue operators. The experience includes ocean landscapes, water physics, and audio effects designed to simulate a beach rescue scenario. Players use standard VR controllers to interact with the environment and perform rescue actions.

The game is categorized as a party game and is suitable for family entertainment centers, arcades, and VR venues seeking group-oriented content. The simple mechanics make it accessible to new players, while the increasing difficulty and competitive scoring provide replay value. The 5+ age rating and support for up to 16 simultaneous players position it for family groups and social gatherings.

BattleStart, the manufacturer, offers Shark Pool as part of its content library. Venue operators can deploy the title in spaces measuring 5×5 meters or 6×9 meters, with both software-only and turnkey installation options available depending on the venue’s existing infrastructure.
