Haptic vest accessory with 32 motors for location-based VR. Adds physical feedback to compatible VR experiences. 13.5-hour battery, adjustable fit, Bluetooth LE connectivity. Works with Meta Quest, SteamVR, PlayStation VR2, Pico, and HTC VIVE headsets.
The TactSuit Pro is a haptic vest accessory that adds physical feedback to VR experiences. It’s designed for location-based entertainment venues running compatible VR content — museums, cultural institutions, immersive art spaces, science centers, theme parks, visitor attractions, and arcades.
The vest uses 32 ERM haptic motors positioned across the torso to deliver physical feedback tied to what’s happening in the VR environment. Players feel impacts, motion, and environmental effects as tactile sensations. The experience is more visceral than headset-and-controllers alone.
An LED control wheel on the vest lets users adjust haptic intensity manually during play. The LED ring changes color to show current haptic activity. Expandable straps and adjustable shoulder snaps accommodate body circumferences from 26 to 50 inches and lengths from 22 to 23.5 inches. The vest fits most adult body types without requiring multiple sizes on hand.
Battery life is 13.5 hours under continuous high-intensity use — measured with all 32 motors firing at maximum intensity for one second every ten seconds. Real-world playtime is typically longer. Full recharge takes five hours via a standard 5V/2A USB connection. The battery is a 3.6V, 9800 mAh lithium-ion cell.
The TactSuit Pro connects via Bluetooth Low Energy (2.402–2.480 GHz). It works natively with Meta Quest 2, Quest 3, Quest 3S, and Quest Pro. It supports SteamVR content on PCVR setups, PlayStation VR2, and standalone headsets including Pico 4, Pico Neo 3, HTC VIVE XR Elite, and HTC VIVE Focus 3. Some platforms support wired audio-to-haptics mode, which converts audio signals into haptic patterns when native integration isn’t available.
The vest is manufactured by bHaptics, a South Korean haptics hardware company that’s been producing tactile feedback devices for VR since 2015. The TactSuit Pro is their current commercial-grade model for location-based deployments.
Operators considering the TactSuit Pro should verify that their existing VR content library includes titles with native bHaptics support or compatible audio-to-haptics conversion. The vest enhances experiences that are built to use it. Without compatible content, it’s inert hardware.
