Two-axis motion base from Talon Simulations with seat, steering shelf and foot rest. 27 degrees of pitch and roll from two actuators, in a 68 by 63 cm base.
The TX2 is a two-axis motion base from Talon Simulations, supplied with a seat, steering shelf, shifter mount and adjustable foot rest. It is built for racing and vehicle simulation, and mounts an operator’s own wheel, pedals and VR system.
The base measures 68 by 63 cm, or 145 by 63 cm with the foot rest fitted, and stands 122 cm high including the seat. Two actuators drive up to 27 degrees of pitch and roll, at a maximum 71.2 degrees per second and 64.4 Nm of torque. It draws about 150w. Shipping weight is 50 kg. Talon rates it for riders between 120 and 200 cm and up to 140 kg.
The chassis is aluminium with an ABS housing and a powder-coated and stainless steel finish. Multi-point adjustable feet and extendable support legs handle uneven floors, and threaded mounting holes allow permanent fixing. Safety features include gaitered conduits to prevent finger trapping, motion defeat switches that halt the actuators on contact with an obstruction, a large emergency stop button, and low voltage electronics.
