Height-based VR shooter where players balance on construction beams suspended above the city, using a crossbow to hit targets while advancing to the top of a skyscraper. 7 minutes, ages 8+.
Watch Your Step puts players on a narrow construction beam hundreds of feet above the city. The setup: you’re perched on scaffolding suspended by a crane, armed with a crossbow, tasked with hitting targets while keeping your balance on platforms that sway and shift. It’s a vertigo simulator first, shooting gallery second.
The experience is built around height exposure. Players stand on beams that span the width of the play space, with the VR visuals reinforcing the sense of distance to the ground. Targets appear at varying elevations, requiring players to aim while managing their physical position on narrow walkways. Each successful shot advances progress toward the top of the skyscraper. Miss your footing, and the game resets your position.
Duration is approximately 7 minutes per session. The content is rated for ages 8 and up. Venue operators report it works well in FECs and arcades where height-based experiences draw repeat play from younger audiences testing their nerve. The crossbow mechanic gives it a skill component beyond pure vertigo exposure.
Watch Your Step runs on Quest and VIVE Focus headsets in standalone mode. It’s available as software-only or turnkey, with play spaces scaling between 6×6 meters and 10×10 meters depending on venue configuration. The experience is linked to Hologate’s platform ecosystem.
