Description

Rabbit Hole VR Free Roam Arena Kits are modular free-roam virtual reality arenas supplied by The Rabbit Hole VR, a Nashville-based distributor and venue operator founded in 2016. Each kit is sold as a complete system of headsets, software, storage and networking, configured around the venue’s floor space and desired player count, and delivered with on-site installation and staff training.

Kits are offered in 4, 6, 8 and 10 player configurations. The 4 player arena occupies 16.5 ft by 16.5 ft (5 m by 5 m), the 6 player arena 20 ft by 20 ft (6 m by 6 m), the 8 player arena 26.5 ft by 26.5 ft (8 m by 8 m), and the 10 player arena 33 ft by 33 ft (10 m by 10 m). Configurations above 10 players start at 1,500 square feet and are quoted individually. The Rabbit Hole VR identifies the 6 player, 20 ft by 20 ft arena as its most common installation.

Operators choose the headset brand and the arena type. Headsets are PICO or HTC VIVE. The standalone configuration runs entirely on the headsets with no host PC and ships with a secured storage cabinet. The PCVR configuration runs on gaming PCs and adds a server rack, and is offered in a 6 player configuration.

Each kit contains enterprise hardware, the applicable location-based entertainment software, headset configuration, battery charging docks, backup headset and controller batteries, a networking router, a secured storage cabinet for fixed installations or a flight case for mobile use, and additional cables and accessories. On-site installation, staff training, a quickstart guide, one year of technical support and shipping within the USA are included.

The system is content agnostic. It runs a range of third-party free-roam game launchers rather than a single supplier’s catalogue, and the operator selects the titles that suit the venue. As of August 2026, game licensing was pay per play, with credits bought as needed.

Optional upgrades include a custom barrier system printed with the operator’s logo, brand colours and tracking markers, custom branded vinyl flooring, and a mobile flight case for taking the kit off-site. Barriers and flooring are supplied to match the arena footprint.

The Rabbit Hole VR runs its own free-roam venue and XR showroom in Nashville, Tennessee. The company states more than 100 locations installed since 2023, across family entertainment centres, arcades, VR arcades, bowling, laser tag, go kart and trampoline venues, museums, art centres, zoos, aquariums and universities.
