Spawnpoint has taken on eight location-based VR experiences previously distributed through the UK platform XIST. Spawnpoint announced the move in a release datelined London, 23 September 2026. It says it is now the exclusive home for the collection. It has also taken on their maintenance, updates and future development.
Spawnpoint made the announcement at The VR Showcase @ Big Fridge in London. It ran the event with vrCAVE and PICO, with support from RedboxVR and StrikerVR.
The release names the eight titles as The Ghoulies, The Warp, The Warp: Extermination, Battlements, Mecha Zone, Vengeance Departed, Eve of the War and AzTech. Spawnpoint describes the collection as spanning dark science-fiction horror, alien extraction, mech warfare, medieval battles and jungle adventures. The release says Eve of the War draws on H.G. Wells’ The War of the Worlds.
“There’s some really ambitious content in this collection, with high-fidelity visuals, cinematic environments and immersive gameplay that show just how impressive freeroam VR can be,” said Ben Woodford, founder of Spawnpoint, in the release.
The Ghoulies is a cooperative supernatural adventure set in 1980s Britain. Players search the haunted home of Old Man Marley for a list of items before they become its permanent residents. Spawnpoint says it will arrive in time for Halloween 2026.
The Warp is a science-fiction horror adventure set aboard the Cephisso, a deep-space vessel drifting off course. Players board as a team of mechanics heading for the engine room and meet a mutating alien outbreak instead. Spawnpoint says The Warp will be available in the fourth quarter of 2026. It will launch with support for the StrikerVR Mavrik-Pro haptic weapon. The release says support for StrikerVR hardware on more titles in the collection will follow.
Spawnpoint reports that its catalogue had passed 20 standalone free-roam VR games before this deal. It names DIVR, The Park, Innerspace VR, Ubisoft and Hololabs Studio among the partners added over the past year. The VR Collective reported on the Ubisoft escape games arriving on the platform in November 2025. The site reported in October 2025 on Spawnpoint’s cross-licensing deal with Belgian operator Park Playground.
Fennec Labs builds Spawnpoint, according to the release. It lists headset management, wireless content deployment and a multi-arena operator interface. It says Spawnpoint supports the VIVE Focus series, Meta Quest and PICO 4 and 4 Ultra headsets.
