Lightning Rock is an Australian developer building VR escape rooms for location-based entertainment venues. Their first title is The Chronosphere Chronicles, a fantasy adventure puzzle experience that runs on PCVR headsets in a 10×10 meter space.
The Chronosphere Chronicles is designed for escape room venues, family entertainment centers, and VR arcades running multi-title content platforms. It fits the category of puzzle-driven narrative experiences — players work together to solve challenges in a fantasy setting.
Lightning Rock has announced two additional titles in development: Leviathan, a steampunk adventure set in an ancient submarine trapped beneath a glacier, and The Berg, where players race to repair their ship before freezing. All three experiences target the same venue type and format.
The platform is software-only and compatible with PICO 4, Quest, and VIVE Focus headsets. It requires a 10×10 meter play space. The experience is designed for group play, typical of escape room formats.
Lightning Rock’s focus is on narrative-driven puzzle content for operators looking to diversify beyond shooter and horror games. The Chronosphere Chronicles is the company’s first commercial release.
