Abyss: Vault is a 30-minute free-roam VR experience for 2 to 6 players in a 6m x 6m space. Players are a rebel squad raiding an underwater vault to reclaim what the elites hoarded. The session combines light-weapon combat, code-cracking puzzles, and a scavenger hunt while the vault actively works against the squad.
The game runs on standalone headsets (PICO 4, Quest) and is distributed year-round through Spawnpoint and VEX. The 2-to-6 player format and 30-minute session length fit standard free-roam booking blocks and stream-through scheduling.
Hololabs is launching Abyss: Vault as a synchronized global event in May 2026, called Rebellion First Wave, running across venues in Europe, North America, and the UK. Participating operators get a full launch playbook: venue theming assets, a squad competition mechanic across four categories (Family, Teen, Friends, Work), press kit, ad creative, and a social strategy with global prizes. Top squads get their names permanently embedded in the game as easter eggs. The launch structure is designed so operators can run a premiere-style event without building their own marketing program.
Hololabs is a Victoria, BC studio with roots in indie film production. The launch reflects that background: release as event, not just another title added to the menu.
