Free-roam VR sci-fi adventure where a 2–6 player rebel squad raids an underwater vault, combining light-weapon combat, code-cracking, and a scavenger hunt across 30-minute sessions in a 6m x 6m arena, from Hololabs.
Abyss: Vault is a free-roam VR sci-fi adventure built for 2 to 6 players in a 6m x 6m play area, with a 30-minute session length. Players take on the role of a rebel squad descending into an underwater vault to reclaim what the elites have hoarded, working through codes, light-weapon combat, and a scavenger hunt while the vault itself works against them.
The game is built for LBE venues running free-roam systems and is distributed year-round through the Spawnpoint and VEX platforms. The squad-based format (2–6 players), arena footprint, and fixed session length suit free-roam operators looking for a stream-through group experience that fits standard booking blocks.
Abyss: Vault launches as a global synchronized event, the Rebellion First Wave, running across venues in Europe, North America, and the UK in May 2026. Hololabs is releasing the game alongside a full launch playbook for participating operators: venue theming, a squad competition mechanic across four categories (Family, Teen, Friends, Work), a press kit, ad creative, and a social strategy with global prizes including squad names embedded into the game as permanent easter eggs. The launch program is structured so operators can run a premiere-style event without standing up their own marketing function.
Hololabs is a Victoria, BC studio with a background in indie film production, and the launch campaign reflects that — release as event, not just a new title added to the menu.
