Granny’s Alien Invasion is a cooperative VR game developed by SPREE Interactive. Players take the role of grannies defending a freshly baked cake from incoming alien UFOs using hand-held vacuum cleaners. The game takes place in a kitchen setting where waves of aliens attempt to steal pieces of the cake.
Different types of UFOs appear with varying abilities and tactics throughout the session. Players use their vacuum cleaners to capture the aliens before they reach the cake. The game requires coordination between team members to cover all approach angles and prevent UFOs from escaping with stolen cake pieces.
The session concludes with a confrontation against an alien mothership that requires coordinated effort from all players. Granny’s Alien Invasion is available on the SPREE Arena turnkey platform and runs on VIVE Focus headsets in standalone mode.
