Hyper Grid is an unattended LED tile arena from LAI Games. One to eight players compete on pressure-sensitive floor and wall tiles in sessions of four to six minutes, within a 270 sq ft footprint, with payment and setup handled at a self-service kiosk.
Hyper Grid is an unattended multiplayer arena built on pressure-sensitive RGB LED tiles set into both the floor and the walls. The tiles light up and respond as players step on or touch them, so games are played by moving across the grid rather than through handsets or headsets. LAI Games sells and supports the system in the United States and Canada, where operator rollout began after the IAAPA Expo in 2025.
The arena occupies 270 sq ft, measuring 6.4m long by 4.1m deep and standing 2.8m high, and is built from heavy gauge mild steel and plywood. It takes one to eight players per session, and sessions run four to six minutes. Power draw averages 1.5 kW and peaks at 4.5 kW.
Hyper Grid runs without staff. An integrated touchscreen kiosk handles game selection, player count, team configuration, payment and session launch, so no staff are involved in running a session. Five or more repeatable games ship with the system, including Rugby-Sevens, and it is built for players of all ages.
The system is sold to operators of family entertainment centers, arcades and amusement venues.
