SyncArena is a Quest-based content platform for multiplayer free-roam VR in arcades and family entertainment centers. Operators subscribe to access a library of standalone VR experiences built for spaces from 4×4 meters to 6×9 meters. Up to six players wear Quest headsets and move through the same physical space while sharing a synchronized virtual environment.
The platform runs on Meta Quest hardware. No PC backpacks. No external tracking. Operators set up play zones using the SyncArena app, assign headsets to players, and launch experiences from a tablet or phone. The system handles session timing, player sync, and spectator screens automatically.
SyncArena offers two pricing models: a flexible per-player rate starting at £49, or a monthly subscription starting at $85. The monthly model suits high-throughput venues that run multiple sessions daily. The per-player rate works for lower-volume operators testing VR or running occasional events.
The platform includes three confirmed experiences: Laser Tag Arena, Paintball Arena, and Zombie Apocalypse. All three are competitive or cooperative multiplayer games built for the FEC audience. Session length and exact player counts per experience are not publicly specified.
Setup requires Wi-Fi, charged Quest headsets, and a clear play area. The app guides operators through boundary setup and headset pairing. SyncArena handles software updates remotely. Operators do not need VR technical expertise to run sessions.
SyncArena is designed for venues already operating free-roam VR or adding it as a new attraction. The subscription model eliminates upfront hardware costs if operators already own Quest headsets. For new operators, the platform offers a lower barrier to entry than PCVR systems that require gaming PCs, sensors, and wired setups.
The platform is developed by Sync, a UK-based VR content studio. SyncArena launched in 2024 and is currently deployed in arcades and FECs across Europe and North America.
